Medjugorje Summary

Over forty years ago, a tiny village in the former Communist country of
Yugoslavia became the focus of reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin to six
youths – four girls and two boys aged 10 to 17. She identified herself as the
Queen of Peace, stated that her visit was a call to conversion, and presented a
template for peace in each human soul and the world. She accentuated prayer
and fasting, emphatically stating that “peace was necessary for the salvation of
the world” and that peace cannot happen without firm faith in God. Her
words, “Convert now while there is time…Do not wait for the great sign because
it will be too late for many,” caught the attention of the entire world.
Medjugorje, located in what is now Bosnia Herzegovina, like the apparitions in
Fatima, is associated with “secrets”. These secrets, Mary relayed, would be
global events that would unfold for the world to understand the truth of her visits.
These events are to be announced to the world in advance to further support her
presence in Medjugorje and the truth of her messages. One of the first events will
be a permanent physical sign left on the hill where she first appeared in 1981.
This will be a permanent, indestructible sign for the world to take repentance and
conversion to God seriously. According to the Queen of Peace, even the greatest
of atheists will convert at the appearance of this sign. The reported ongoing
apparitions and resulting fruits continue to draw countless pilgrims from all
corners of the globe.
